The Steps of Worship

I began going to a woman's bible study "Stepping Up" by Beth Moore and it enlightened me on how many woman are hungry for the Lords presence in their lives. Today I began doing the workbook devotion with my morning coffee. Here is a profound summery of what excited me and gave me deeper hope that the place I am in right now is just a thing coming to pass because, I am not staying here I am moving forward; it's a pilgrimage.

"What if all emotion that life draws out of us in grief, fear, doubt, hopes, cares, and perplexities became avenues of Worship rather than distraction...Because we have places to go, People to meet, dragons to slay and foes to defeat! Are we that desperate for God to worship in every emotion?"

I would have to say that, the avenues to worship God in whatever state of mind I am in is the great opportunity to have the Spirit of God rise in me and have the flesh sit in silence. After all, isn't it the flesh that doesn't like the trial? However, the Lord is calling us higher to "Step Up" into His presence by seeking Him with our faces to the ground in reverence and demonstration of surrender ready to hear Him speak to us.

As for me His word and presence is vital to my life here on earth. That although His coming is near, I must prepare my spiritual bridal gown all the while calling and inviting others to the wedding party. If I become distracted with the emotional state of the world, how can I prepare my spiritual gown and invite others to the marriage supper of the Lamb...

Revelation 4:1 After this I looked, and behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was at it were a trumpet talking with me; which said, "Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be here after."

The Lord is coming back for a bride who has made herself ready, we must seek Him with all our heart, mind and soul. Let us continue to step up higher into the inner courts of the Lord so that he can show us greater things we have not yet known. How desperate are we for God in our lives, Enough to do what?
