All These Things

“All these things will I give Thee if Thou wilt fall down and worship me.”

The last question and offer of temptation from the tempter to Jesus was "All these things will I give thee if." If is a condition clause a presumption and assumption. Jesus says “Get thee hence, Satan! For it is written: ‘Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and Him only shalt thou serve.’

When we Want things is perhaps, when we have fallen into the temptation of Things. When we have so many things and forget the worship and service of the Lord, we have already fallen and worshiped things rather than HIM. And if we have fallen to worship things, did we also miss the mark of working so hard to put bread on our tables; we have not read and applied HIS word that HE IS Jehovah Jirah our provider... “If Thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.” Jesus hungered and his body was craving food. In other words, work it and make the rocks bread. IF....

When we crave more food in our household do we go and turn our things into money that we may put more food on our tables? Nothing wrong with putting food on the table the word says "that if any would not work, neither should he eat." 2 Thessalonians 3:10. However, when we have the tempter telling us that we will starve if we don't go and work harder and make more money to put more food on the table; there we fail on trusting God will provide. We rely on us and the voice telling us, we need more rather than what the word of God says in Luke 12:29-31 "And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind. For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things. But rather seek ye the kingdom of God;

Jesus was tempted because he was drawn away to fast by the Spirit and when HE was in the wilderness alone, there is where temptation came and the voices spoke What sounded reasonable at the time of weakness to the body, was drowned out by the everlasting word that was spoken back in eternity past. A word given right in time. It is written thou shalt...

If, a condition clause overridden by "Shalt" which the meaning is, to intend and expect. It is expected for you to apply Gods word not things. "And Him only shalt thou serve". In all that we are, all that we do, and all that we have we are to serve the Lord God and not Things. When we begin to crave and desire things and the voices say we are lacking we need more, is when we fail to know and apply Gods word that He will provide for us and we allow the tempter the service and worship of all things, instead of giving all things to God.

When we serve and worship all these things we then serve and worship the devil. But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be "Added" unto you. So in conclusion, on which side of "All these things" are we on? Being expected to be added to us or, a condition clause of presumption, that the Lord will say, "Get thee hence"...Something to really ponder on. HE who has given all life and breath, may we Seek HIM first above All Things.
