...But At Another Level
The season of starting over is dreadful, but it's all on how your perspective is...
But others fell on good ground and yielded a crop: some a Hundredfold, some Sixty, some Thirty. He who has ears to hear, let him hear!”`~Matthew 13:8
And when the man that had the line in his hand went forth eastward, he measured a thousand cubits, and he brought me through the waters; the waters were to the Ankles.
Again he measured a thousand, and brought me through the waters; the waters were to the Knees. Again he measured a thousand, and brought me through; the waters were to the Loins.
Afterward he measured a thousand; and it was a river that I could not pass over: for the waters were risen, waters to Swim in, a river that could not be passed over.~Ezekiel 47:3-5
I hope that when you read these versus you see a pattern of measurement and levels. Some 30, 60, and 100. Also, Ankles, Knees, Loins, and beyond. I have been hearing the Lord tell me that this year is a year of challenge to start over yet, on another level. Beginning again but to a higher level than before. Why, because I've mastered the first level already and it's time to grow and go to the next level; to get closer to the goal and plan He has for my life. So if you feel that it's starting over, perhaps you are but at the next level; the higher level than before. And it's ok to start over and begin again, but it's to the next level higher than before. We've masted wading in the water and now it's time to get in ankle deep. Or perhaps you've been in playing in the water with your feet and ankles but now He's calling you to go to the loins. Eventually we hope that we can swim and dive deep in the depths of His gospel and truth of His word.
Here's something I shared also that let me realize God was challenging and calling me to begin again but at a higher level...
I put 3 heaps of spoon fulls of coffee as I was making it and realized that my coffee was to weak. I needed it stronger. For years I have drank weak coffee as my husband says; but now lately it was just too weak and I needed it more stronger so I added more. Not realizing I probably started doing this a month ago. It tasted better with more flavor and I was thrilled to sip and drink it with my devotion. So then, when we get to comfortable and need more in our lives there is added to us more spoonfuls of flavoring for inner spiritual strength because plain weak and blan is no longer good enough for us- it's lost its flavor.
May we consider the trials that are added to us as strength because we just out grew that weakness and need more strength. Push yourself out there, add more to you, overcome that fear by running towards it instead of away. Take up the sword of His Word and pursue!

But when thou art bidden, go and sit down in the lowest room; that when he that bade thee cometh, he may say unto thee, Friend, go up higher: then shalt thou have worship in the presence of them that sit at meat with thee.~Luke 14:10
