Starved Thoughts
I hear the noise and the actions of a world so vain and I'm neither inspired nor encouraged by it. Starved in need of divine bread because we ache deep within for spiritual growth because the world and it's things cannot provide spiritually aliment that a starved soul needs. I'm starved for something specific and who can know the longing and the hunger pangs of needing bread, the Word...
And being fully persuaded that, what He had Promised, He was "Able also to Perform." The promise of a word spoken being performed, but how...
And therefore it was "imputed" to him for righteousness.
Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him;
But for "US" also, to whom it shall be imputed, "If we believe on Him" that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead;
For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world, was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of "Faith." For if they which are of the law be heirs, faith is made void, and the promise made of none effect:
Romans 4:13 and 21 through 24 tells me that the Promises God gave to Abraham was not just for him alone but for all those that believe on Him who raised Jesus from the dead. Imputed is- to take inventory in its root meaning. We are to take inventory of all the promises not given by a law, but through Faith. Otherwise faith is voided and we would not be heirs if it be by a law. But if we are to take inventory of what is given to us in Faith; by definition we are Heirs to something through Jesus and not by a law, but again through Faith. Knowing already we are Heirs to something we cannot see yet; but believe eventually it will appear in time. How's that for a Food Pantry Inventory...What Promised Word are you hungry for right now?
The Promise is we are Heirs and it is the Fathers good pleasure to give you the Kingdom, but seek ye first the Kingdom and all things will be added to you.
We wake up or even lay down pondering the thoughts of needing and wanting more. And no one knows our thoughts in the morning or at night because, who can even explain the feelings and starvation in my spirit that I have at the time of thought...
And when we are starved for His word and His presence, no one else's words will simple do! Like a blank sheet of paper rustling through the howling wind, so is another persons word when heard in the ears of one who's starved for His Presence.
Thy Words were found, and I did eat them; and Thy Word was unto me the Joy and Rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by Thy name, O Lord God of hosts.~Jeremiah 15:16
Thy Word when spoken is heard by my souls ears; your word knows me by Thy name. I was starved and I did eat of your word and it brought Joy to my heart. Thy Word and Thy Promises given to me if only to believe in Faith. May we remember daily to take Inventory of what is given to us. May we use it to make His name known. May we use it to speak of His glory and not ours. For our righteousness is as filthy rags.
It was the Word that raised Lazarus to life after being dead over 3 days and the Word that was made flesh when it was dead in the tomb 3 days, had to rise also. The Word cannot and will not die. If it were to die, than the sun, the planets and earth could no longer be suspended in air because the Word contains it. The stars would have to fall and the waters would no longer have any boundaries, because the Word contains them. The Word contains and it multiples. If the word were to die then there would be no light because in the beginning God said let there be light. It began with the word light.
The Word of God is so powerful in being Spoken and in Presence, we should take inventory of it daily...It was imputed to us as Heirs. No other words have that effect on humanity like His Word and with A promise attached. His word brings life, gives live, and brings back to life.
So at the time of thought when we are starved for a Word and need His presence near, may we grab and eat of His Word. We literally spoon feed ourselves naturally, we must also feed ourselves spiritually. He is Faithful to Fill us, Contain us, and Multiply us. May we seek to find Him always in our thoughts intimately. Because He is the only one who can feel and answer our thoughts at that time with a responsive word. Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
