Work While It Is Day
Religion never freed anyone, in fact it was a spiritual bondage. When Jesus arrived on the scene he did not hang out with all the religious people. He went out and about in the world and gathered a crowed there. It was the religious people who had a lot to say in criticism to what he was doing. They wore their fancy robes and proclaim to know a lot of the law but didn't go to the world to make an impact; they were stuck in there "tradition religion"... They were so bound up in religion they didn't even lift a finger to help others only themselves. Jesus came, delivered and freed people; he sought the Father in prayer and sought out the broken and poor to heal and restore them. He did differently from what the pharisees did, He Did Differently. I'm sure there were many religious people offended by what he did but he still did differently and changed everything. Whether they got offended, it didn't matter; he went out and did the Fathers business. He loved the people in the world and showed compassion and healed them. He tell us also to do this work this ministry that he demonstrated while here on earth.
Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.
Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?
When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?
Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?
And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.~Matthew 25:34-36
Jesus Did Differently and when we do differently, may we do it for His glory.
And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father by Him.~Colossians 3:17
Jesus did differently and he worked according to what the Father sent him to do.
I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work. As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world. ~John 9:4,5
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.~Matthew 5:16
When we Do anything in the name of Jesus, in word and deed, we show the light of Jesus in us. Jesus said that the night cometh when no man can work and that He is the light of the world. And If Jesus is the light and we are bearers of that light, our time to work is “Now.” while there is light. We should contribute a pattern of Good works that His name may be glorified in all we do. We must work while there is day because night cometh to mankind. In Rev. 6:6 we read that two pounds of wheat will cost a day’s wages. And right now there is time and there are resources to work and add to the church spiritually. The Harvest is plentiful and there’s work to do. It's not about me anymore but its about them, the souls that are lost and need a light in the darkness.
God calls and sends us that’s why we are all here today because we answered the call to help feed, clothe, minister and bring glory to His name by our work.
And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us, and establish Thou the work of our hands for us—yea, the work of our hands, establish Thou it.~Psalms 90:17
May the Lord bless and multiply our hands as we serve and work for His Kingdom while it is day and may we begin to do things differently as Jesus did; not for our gain nor our name but all for Him and His ministry.
