Deep, The Unseen Phenominum
In this season, I have been in prayer and reading lately about seeking His presence rather than my wants in this world. I have come to understand in my trials, the Lord truly wants us to know Him face to face and become close to Him enough to hear His voice distinctively and to be constantly in His presence. That when He is near and when He speaks, we are engulfed in His presence even when we are away from church. His presence surrounding me is my Sanctuary.
I enjoy the fellowship of the brethren and am glad when they say let's go the the house of the Lord. However, we have to have a personal relationship all the more outside of the church building and maintain a personal sanctuary within us.
In my morning walk today I was reminded of this verse,
How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity?~Proverbs 1:22
So many trial's we've overcame, so many experiences we have learned, and so many victories won in our Christian journey. Yet, we revert and go back to the default mode every time it get's hard and lonely; when it's been designed by our trials to experience The Deep. How long will you love simplicity, the basic?
Why revert back to that default mode of comfort, familiarity, and basic that nothing is required of us but the minimal every time it get's uncomfortable, unfamiliar and unpopular...
Have you not noticed that in the deep we see things not many see, we experience things not many have experienced either? The deep is unfamiliar and unpopular by the basic views. You have a greater and wider perspective in the deep. It's an "Unseen Phenomenon". For the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.~ 1 Corinthians 2:9-11
In the flesh man is limited to it's perspective. However, in the Spirit there is a panoramic view.
So, if we have been accustomed to being in the deep why go back to basic? With all the spiritual education and moral development learned and experienced through our journey, why go back to simplicity, basic or default mode...
The Lord says in His word in Luke 12:48 For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.
Much is given and much is required when we have been accustomed to the deep for the purpose of His will in us. Not just the minimum, but Much.
Much, the deep, is an unseen phenomenon.
And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. Genesis 1:2
Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is Liberty.
2 Corinthians 3:17
Liberty is in the depth of His Spirit and, "Faithful is He that calleth you, who also will do it". 1 Thessalonians. 5:24.
Deep calleth unto deep at the noise of thy waterspouts: all thy waves and thy billows are gone over me.
Yet, the Lord will command his loving kindness in the day time, and in the night his song shall be with me, and my prayer unto the God of my life. Psalms 42:7,8
May the longing to feel His presence and see Him face to face, outweigh the urge to do the minimum. May that longing compel us to go deeper as Deep calls to deep.
This may not be for everyone, but it's for someone. We have Much to Learn, Experience, and Grow yet. Take us Deeper Lord!
