His Garden

And they heard the voice of the Lord God walking in the Garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God amongst the trees of the garden.~Genesis 3:8

Awake, O north wind; and come, thou south; blow upon my Garden, that the spices thereof may flow out. Let my beloved come into his Garden, and eat his pleasant fruits.~Song of Solomon 4:16

Thou that dwellest in the Gardens, the companions hearken to thy voice: cause me to hear it.~Song of Solomon 8:13

For the Lord shall comfort Zion: he will comfort all her waste places; and he will make her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the Garden of the Lord; joy and gladness shall be found therein, thanksgiving, and the voice of melody.~Isaiah 51:13

When Jesus had spoken these words, he went forth with his disciples over the brook Cedron, where was a garden, into the which he entered, and his disciples.~John 18:1

Jesus saith unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? whom seekest thou? She, supposing him to be the gardener, saith unto him, Sir, if thou have borne him hence, tell me where thou hast laid him, and I will take him away.~John 20:15

The Lord God is A Jealous God. Exodus 20:5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God,..

In the Garden of Eden was the temptation of humanity and the fall. The very Garden where the Lord made man and placed Him in was now contaminated by the intrusion of evil and sin. Where the Lord communed with His creation and walked and talked with, was now separated from that union. Gods passionate love and jealousy for us was to bring us back in communion with Him.

In the Garden of Gethsemane was again one more encounter to have the plan of salvation and eternal communion stopped. Jesus however, pressed through the pressure! Our heart now is that very Garden the Lord God He so longed to bring back as once in a spiritual manner. Although Adam and Eve failed to dress and keep the Garden in obedience, because of the works of the cross and the resurrection of the grave, we are now able to dress and keep the garden of our hearts.

The Lord is a Jealous God because He so passionately loves us and wants to commune and fellowship with us always. He made us for Him and no one and nothing else should ever take its place. Our hearts are now His Garden.

It's not enough to just be saved through salvation but we are to become the Bride of Christ. This is way beyond salvation, it's an Eternal Union.

Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and "his wife hath made herself ready". And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints. And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.~Revelation 19:7-9.

Our heart is His Garden. May we dress it and keep it to grow into His Bride who's made herself ready for Him. After all, He's a jealous God and His passion is us and we are to daily work toward that intimate spiritual relationship above all other things.
