The Richness of a Genuine Friend

 The richness of a genuine friend is found in your hardest trial and will walk with you through it and celebrate with you afterwards. As coffee grounds go through the hot waters and come out tasting rich, so does a genuine friendship.

The greatest of your victories will certainly be your biggest battle, one you've thought you'd never get over but finally overcame had it not be for God's Strength to get you through it and the friends that God placed there during the hardest most loneliest state.

I have come to learn that as many mistakes I've made, His Mercy is New Every Morning because He knows that we are but dust with His breath in us made in His image. Knowing this keeps me pressing forward. I leave room for mistakes and improvements. Yet, I don't reflect so much on the mistakes. I have a greater vision in front of me. I have not yet arrived...precept to precept, here a little, there a little.

I'm grateful for the friends who encourage and accept me just as I am along the way. My friends know my heart and they come to inspire and encourage me with God's word right at the perfect time. Perhaps because He has put them there in my life for such a time.

Surround yourself with genuine people who desire to bring the best out of you and don't find fault in you purposely. Nor are they critical with sarcastic words towards you. They speak life in you.

The flavor of genuine friendship has a rich taste. As iron sharpens iron so does one friend encourage another. True genuine friends hear you even when your silent. True and genuine friends see your mistakes yet don't focus on them but encourage you to be better than yesterday. Their words are mostly positive and character builders. They forgive easily and remember you often in prayer.

A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.~Psalm 18:24

When life get's so hard and you tend to isolate yourself from everything, your real friends will find you and seek you out to get you out of that state of mind. They see the potential of what is possible if only to boost your encouragement with a daily nudge.

The Lord cares so much for us that He puts those friends in our lives. Ones that will be genuine and bring the best out of us. Yet, challenge us to reach our greatest potential. They speak life. When in a battle, your friends will stick beside you and give you encouragement with God's word. They won't leave you in the fight alone.
