Your Choice, You Choose..
Oh the controversy all over this world with so many just "Doing as thou wilt" with no accountability naturally or spiritually.
The greatest power we have is the willingness to choose, "free will choice".
In those decisions of free will choice's, we create our actions and every action we create a reaction, either positive or negative.
I am an optimistic person by learning from my struggles and it didn't come natural I worked on being optimistic. My greatest encouragement came from the word of God as it inspired me to try to be more like Him. I struggled for a long time from the desires of the flesh and the callings of the Spirit.
I began to realize that the devil will always use the word of God against people as an excuse for that person to sin; even more so those who have walked away from the truth. Jesus used the word to overcome to save humanity from hell and defeat the enemy. The serpent used it against Eve in the garden by saying, "Did God really say that; and she fell. The devil also used it against Jesus three times being tempted in the wilderness. Jesus however didn't fall for it because He is the Word. Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life.
There is a correct way and a wrong way for using God's word. Depending on the condition of the heart, it will be used as a positive or negative action and reaction. It's the difference between wheat and tares...
The correct way gives power and authority to overcome anything. The wrong way becomes a diseased perception of reality to do everything carnally minded. Sin is sin and there's no excuse slip to do it and continue in it, but it's a free will choice. We were born in sin but we don't have to remain with it. To be carnally minded is enmity with God.
An excuse for sin, "Of doing as thou wilt" is like a tall glass of fresh spring water with a drop of urine; it contaminates the whole glass of water. It may look clean yet, there's still a drop of urine and it needs a filter to clean it out to make it pure again. It's the Holy Spirit of God that leads us to all truths and the cleansing blood of Jesus to make us all clean with no contamination. However, it is our free will choice to be filtered by the Spirit of God and be clean or, allow that drop contamination to stay in there and daily drink from that vessel daily and share the glass to others. We will either infect the world or effect it.
The word of God is plain to read and the condition of heart will determine if we will do as thou wilt or say, "Father thy will be done in me". Choose ye this day whom you will serve Joshua 24:15. To live in repentance is an ongoing choice, we choose daily. Your choice you choose...

So, when I read, see, and hear someone using the word of God as an excuse slip to do as they please, I am reminded how the devil tempted first Eve and also Jesus with the word to deliberately make them fall, and with a fall a great fall it is, even unto generations and in fact, eternal.
There is no truth in the devil and he will always twist the word of God to have an excused slip to act on sin. However, God's word remains true and never changing just as Romans 6:23 says, For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. God is Love but He does not love sin. God hates sin for its opposite of who He is and the two cannot be together for one is pure and the other filth. And who doesn't love clean waters...the vessel holding the contaminated urine water is also contaminated and unclean and the vessel that holds the pure clean water is also pure and clean. Which would you choose to drink from and which would you want to serve your friends and family?
May we choose Life, the Way of Truth which is Jesus Christ the Pure Living Water, it's an eternal life choice!
