Your Great Sacrifice

Love, the great Sacrifice... Love Is Sacrifice.

It's our offering of something we cherish to something greater

When we have whole love we put our needs aside for another who's in greater need. If we genuinely are attentive to people we will not miss it. Yet, so often we miss it because we want others to serve us and our emotional needs. We must be vigilant of not loving self more than another that we totally forget their need. Perhaps, that's why society is in such a wreck because it's all about selfie media bombs while bashing others and not about lifting others up and selfless acts of kindness to our neighbors.

Love is not what "They" or how they can show us of how much they love us, but Love is me sacrificing for "You". One can tell how much the other loves by what time is given. Time is so precious here on earth; for our days are already numbered and what purpose can we carry it into eternity... 

What we love the most, we gladly give it knowing it's subtracting away from me here on earth and adding it to eternity. Love is that great sacrifice. 

What we Love we give it our time and the very breath of our life. Whom or what do we love that we give our moments here on earth? Is it worth the eternal price...

God is Love and those who know not love know not God for God is Love.

For God so loved the world that He gave His life...And while we were yet sinners Christ died for us. No greater love than this that a man lay down his life for a friend. Jesus is the greatest example of how He walked into time to demonstrate His love for us in our fallen state.

In our mess of frustration, misunderstanding, confusion, depression, anxiety, freaking and wigging out of emotion and feelings of being overwhelmed, who will still love us in that condition of a mess and give us the time of day to help us mend... The love of Christ will. 

When we encounter this Love, we will put our needs aside for another. When they are broken and hurting within, frustration seeps out and then it gushes and spills all over. One even thinks it's the world against them but in actual, they need to know they are Loved especially in the mess. Help them heal by giving them time and demonstrate it by showing them; give them your time.

Share your time and the world will know we are HIS disciples by our Love. Be that to your spouse, your children, your parents and sibling and extended family and friends. But the truest of knowing if we have Whole Love is with our family whom we share the home we live in, and that generates out into the world.

All in is not fifty fifty but 100% All in. Otherwise it's not Whole Love.

Lord continue leading us and giving us opportunities to practice loving others wholesomely as You love us and call us Your bride in spite of our short coming.
