The Great Lake
My soul ached for the leaving because I knew I was leaving my home. I felt the cutting of the cord and it hurt. Deeply so, it hurt...
The ground felt my soul crying as the tears fell hard on the black earth; it even knew I could not stay. The tears filled all the more the great lake as it to felt my souls ache.
What awaited me in the great beyond of the other shores however, was yet another lake. A lake filled with promise and praise of a Victory won many, many years before me. In fact, it was waiting for me, it was anticipating my arrival prior to the aching. And oh the longing to never leave but stay...
But before I could ever get to the promise, I had to let go of the past, my past and everything about it. One could even say fleshly things for spiritual things...
Everything we acquired by our hands we had to let go so HE could place the promise HE had in store for us in our hands. He was giving us the desires of our heart only I didn't know it then.
HE created us to live out HIS Promise but not only to live it, but live it out "In Abundance."
But as it is written: “Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him. But God hath revealed them unto us by His Spirit. For the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. ” 1 Corinthians 2:9,10.

So, to look back on the aching and the breaking, it was really giving up a small thing in order to gather something even greater than we could have ever imagined or even had hoped for. Something more lovelier.

Our hearts ached for more and where we thought it as in abundance was really a fleshly thing for what awaited in the greater beyond. An abundance of promise in all areas of our life.
The birthing pains of having a child is small in order to have an inheritance for generations
