Born From The Heart
The substance of the heart is what our everyday actions are. Whether it be good or bad they leak out and some may not even know it. Some will be good seeds bearing good fruit while others, seeds of weeds cluttering and choking life. We fight three thing here in life, the world, the devil, and our own carnal flesh. What is born of the spirit is eternal.
That which is born of the spirit is birthed in the heart and pushes up in our actions and words. The way it gets in the heart is through our eyes and ears, of what and who we listen to; the world or the Father...
Deuteronomy 9:15,16
"So I turned and came down from the mount, and the mount burned with fire: and the two tables of the covenant were in my two hands.
And I looked, and, behold, ye had sinned against the Lord your God, and had made you a molten calf: ye had turned aside quickly out of the way which the Lord had commanded you."
Moses was up in the mountain with the Lord (The Father) to receive instructions for the children of Israel and while he was coming down from the mountain that was all rumbling with thunder and ablaze with fire, he came down with 2 tablets; a covenant in his arms.
While he held this covenant that was given from the Father in his arms the children of Israel had sinned against the Lord making a molten calf.
I'm dumbfounded that even with the presence of the Almighty right there in the distant they sinned. I'm just amazed that even at the very fire and noisy mountain, a vast majority of people ignored such a mighty act going on and just gathered together to sin and make an idol covenant with a thing that has no substance even after they saw all the might things the Lord had done for them.
The covenants of flesh and spirit both being made at the same time.
While I read this passage in the bible I could see that it is all a Heart thing. The fire of the Holy Ghost can come down in a church and the praise and worship can lead you to dance but when it's time to go home and live it out was it on the outside of a molten image or did it come from within and blazed out...
Mark 7:20-23
And he said, "That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man.
For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: All these evil things come from within, and defile the man."

We can see the majesty of the Lord but if we choose to turn away and listen to the calls of the world and give into the desires of the flesh regardless of all He's done for us, then it's now a heart issue from which we have a free will choice.
Stay and be near Him or leave and be far. Paul says that he dies daily, which means- the old carnal man dies daily so that the new Spirit man can grow in Christ.
May we draw close to the Lord by putting off the things of the world & the flesh so He can draw close to us in Spirit. May our daily choices be born from the heart and not of the flesh. After all, eternity is a long time that the flesh can never reach.
