Raise Your Standard

Sunday drive with my son listening to a melody to calm my thoughts had me thinking about Raising my Standard away from a worldly view, to a spiritual one. As the problems of life come, some can come flooding in with such intensity they can make you so confused and stressed out. So do I give weigh to it or, try harder...

This time the trial however, whispered deep into my heart, 

“The challenge in our life is an opportunity to Rise to the occasion to overcome and grow in spiritual maturity; Raise your Standard!” 

This whisper took me back to Isaiah 28:13…From precept to precept, here a little there a little. And Isaiah 59:19 So when the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a Standard against him.

As Christians, we have a Standard and that is what's Written in the Word. May we Stand for what is True, Holy, Pure and Righteous. As the problems of life feel like a rushing flood of emotion and chaos inside us, we Press in, take a stand, and press through!

The hard trial or problems that seems to come flooding in, is an opportunity or challenge to lift up a Standard against the enemy.

The meaning of Standard is: a level of quality or attainment, honor and decency.

As we are tried and challenged may we grow & bloom into an Honorable place of spiritual maturity in the process of overcoming. From glory to Glory.

This, is an opportunity to Raise your Standard…May the Spirit of the Lord direct us in our everyday.
