The One Who Called You Out
Looking into the eyes of your new born baby and pondering the thought of such love in a bundle so small and tiny; the cries so innocent. Fingers and hands oh so small. Eyes so bright and full of new life. How God entrusted us with such preciousness. Already in my mind how can I do this; raise a man? Looking deep into his little eyes I could see a call already in him. It's from He who called him out from eternity to here in Time.
The most amazing thing in life is watching before our eyes a baby being born and growing up everyday right in front of our eyes. As the outward body grows, changes, and matures, such is the spiritual man inside growing and maturing also. The amazing is in the knowing of a Call deep inside the soul.
Who placed the call in us and for what purpose, is for us to seek it out as it calls out to us daily. For it says, "Many are called but few choose it." (Matthew 22:14)
Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men: and the weakness of God is stronger than men. For ye see your Calling, brethren, how not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called but God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; (1Corithians 1: 25-27)
Many are called. But even in the "many", not many wise, mighty, and noble who get called out, Choose it.
Some of us have became so numb to the call we no longer hear it. Just like when we get so tired and sleeping so hard on our comfortable beds; an alarm can go off for minutes and never wake up to hear it. All the while someone in the next room or even next to us can hear its blaring siren and jump up to silence the alarm from its aching sound. Such as a spiritual deep slumber.
Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.(Ephesians 5:14)
Before David was anointed to be king of Israel, he was out in the field tending to his fathers sheep an goats. He was ruddy, and withal of a beautiful countenance, and goodly to look to. When Samuel saw him, the Lord told him that he was the one to anoint. He was the one that called him out from the field and into a kingdom on that day. David chose to leave the field and go to his fathers house to be anointed, although he didn't know it yet.
...For the Lord seeth not as man seeth: for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart. (1Samuel 16:7)
And so the story goes, when Samuel saw David the Lord told Samuel to anoint him. "The One Who Called You Out", has anointed you already beforehand.
"Arise, anoint him: for this is he! (1 Samuel 16:13)
David is one example, of God having a divine purpose for all of us who choose to hear the call and walk in it. So many, even noble, mighty, and wise, but few choose it. Samuel also had a calling as a very young boy as Hannah promised the Lord that he would be given to His service at 5 years old. Samuel grew up in the service of the Lord and was a great prophet. It takes the Called & Chosen to hear the calling in another and anoint them. Who has called us and who hath anointed us already? Or have we forgotten? It took years even after being anointed for David to finally step in as King. Back in the beginning, God saw David's heart and it's the heart He can mold even in all the mess in the process, God still called and anointed. Again, The One Who Called You Out has also Anointed you for "His Purpose" for such a time as this...
Be grateful for the times so many may have passed you by because only Deep can call to deep. Only Samuel could anoint David. Only Samuel heard the voice of the Lord of who he needed to anoint. So be specific of who stays in your life. Not everyone who's around us is a God send!
The ones who we least expect to be a God send in our life, well God surprises us. It's someone we least expect. In hindsight, who was the one who called you out and anointed you? Look at the consistency and fruitfulness in their life. Did it multiply yours also. spiritually? Is it continuing to do so?
Did David know Samuel and his story...how at a young age Samuel was able to hear the voice of the Lord? And imagine what Samuel thought when he saw David; "This kid is going to be King over a great nation one day." The Lord sees the heart and knows who to bring in our life and speak life and light to us. If you want to go Deep, look for a deep sea diver not a life guard. Life guards are good so you don't drown, but their purpose isn't in a boat with a deep sea diver either. Although the intentions may be good, the dynamics differ. Consistency & Fruitfulness is so key.
Pray over your children. Anoint them. Pray for God to send people in their path that can help grow them in what God has called them to do. Not just for them but for ourselves to. May God lead us also to help grow the next generation for His Goodness. Many are called but few choose to hear and do it. The One Who Called You Out has also Anointed you to do it. Choose it. Everyday choose life, light and love!
Being Confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day...(Philippians 1:6)
