The Name On The Wound
Who wounded you and what's their name...
Who did that to you and how did you get that cut so deep...
The wounds of Jesus, He carried all our names on Himself; our sins He placed upon His body that we could be forgiven and live in peace with the Father.
We don't realize either the names we are carrying on us because others have wounded us or the wounds we have that have another persons name on it. And we've carried them in our souls for so long in unforgiveness. Wounds we have had for many years that have depth and roots. Many wounded hearts walking around that bare the name of another in bitterness, resentment; tightly gripping hurt, keeping that wound fresh, year after, year, after year...
Forgive and the name of the person will change as Jesus took it upon Himself for you to live in peace. Let people go, release them and give it all to Jesus in their place. Change the name of the wound and be at peace instead. As Jesus saves, people change...I'm one of those who is changed by Him.
"But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed. Isaiah 53:5
We give wounded stipes to others by the lashing of the tongue face on or behind closed doors. The Lord knows it'll. We place ourselves in a pit and take down others with us. Tongue lashing is far worse then an actual physical hurt because no one can see the depth of the wound to even help mend it; even the physical ones still carry an emotional attachment to it as well. Sometimes we gives ourselves those wounds...
Who's wounded you and what is their name? Release them today and you'll know forgiveness, it's so we don't have to stay in that bondage of resentment, bitterness, and gripped hurt anymore. It heals you from the depth of your deep hurt and takes you into the peace longed for. Forgive yourself also. Then, you realize you can love easier because that heaviness is gone and you now see that person differently. You'll feel different. That's the amazement of Jesus, He forgives and instructs us to also to forgive even seventy x's seven times in a day.
I have so much to be forgiven as I know I've hurt so many; but I pray that when and if the Lord brings them back in my journey along the way, I can show them Forgiveness and Love just as Jesus does to us and I can also ask them for forgiveness in hopes they see Him working a good work in me. Even if that person is not close anymore or even far gone from our life, God still works in the heart and He tugs at us to release forgiveness even into eternity. Jesus, He Forgives. I want all my wounds to bear His name to place Peace and Love instead. Changing the name of the wound for peace. Who wounded you because Jesus was wounded for our transgression to have peace over it all... We may have a scar left but remember the name of the one who mended you. While we are still here, Forgive to live in peace. A burden is to hard for a soul to carry right into eternity. Give Love, Peace, and Forgiveness to carry that into eternity. Love one another just as Jesus loves us. Love you all friends and family and forgive me as I'm a good work in progress,
"being confident of this very thing, that He which hath begun a good work will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ. Philippians 1:6
